What are HYBRID workouts?

HYBRID workouts combine strength and cardio in one session — blending elements of BURN and BUILD. In these workouts, you’ll move between weighted exercises and higher-intensity intervals, training your muscles while keeping your heart rate up. Ideal if you want a balanced, full-body workout that builds strength and endurance at the same time. If you've been to BEAT81 workouts before, you may recognize them. Formats like Strength & Cardio (now HYBRID: Foundation) and Dynamic Power (now HYBRID: Power) are included here.

Why is Strength Endurance (previously Strength Double Set) a HYBRID workout?

Strength Endurance is a HYBRID workout because it blends strength work with a higher cardiovascular demand. The focus is on sustained effort rather than maximum weight: higher reps, longer time under tension, repeated sets, and short recovery keep your heart rate elevated while your muscles stay under load. Plus, Strength Endurance has an active warm up to get your heart rate up, and finishes with a cardio push. That combination builds strength endurance — your ability to stay strong over time. If your goal is pure strength training, check out our BUILD workouts.
